Custom Design-Build Home

This home was a Design/Build in conjunction with local architect, Mark Kestner. Bill Ware, the architect and the clients teamed up during the design phase. The process started with a gorgeous cul-de-sac view lot and a 2-story stock plan with a main floor layout which Mark and Elaine liked, and evolved into a custom single story with a full finished Terrace Level (basement; when High Caliber finishes your basement, it becomes a “Terrace Level”).
The all-brick exterior features engineered brick, quoin corners and a 50-year architectural roof; extensive landscaping and beautiful retaining walls frame this retirement home which takes full advantage of spectacular Blue Ridge Mountain views. As you step inside, the view through the Foyer and into the Great Room is captured by the custom windows in the rear gable.
To accommodate the car and motorcycle hobbies of the owners, we built a 4 car Garage with 3 bays fronting on the courtyard and 1 loaded from the rear.
The wide open inviting staircase to the Terrace Level is just off the hallway to the Garage and leads to a place that is a world unto itself-3 Bedrooms, 2 Full Baths, Wet Bar and Rec Room round out a design that is comfortable living for 2 on the Main Floor and ample room for visiting family and friends at the Terrace Level.
